CDR Sharon Rhynes

CDR Sharon Chatman Rhynes is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with nine years of service in the Corps and thirteen years as an enlisted soldier (Active and Reserve) in the U.S. Army. She has served in multiple assignments during her Corps career—CMS as the agency’s Co-Liaison and a previously as a regional Division Director, HRSA as a Senior Public Health Analyst, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Health Services Administrator and Nurse Practitioner.
CDR Rhynes earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama, Post-Master’s certificate as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Master’s degree as an Adult Nurse Practitioner both from Emory University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University.
